A very busy term working up to a performance at the Shepshed Show. Ably led this spring and summer by Nicole Jordan, while we auditioned for a permanent Musical Director. We had a special session run by Steve Johnson on Natural Voice technique, which was really fascinating. The Autumn term has been a very busy one for Serenade with two concerts, two receptions, two lots of carol singing and an appearance on Radio Leicester’s Saturday breakfast show (which was repeated on Christmas Day as part of the station’s ‘Leicestershire Choirs Special’, which was inspired by us!) On June 2nd 2012, around 60 members of Serenade gathered nervously in Glenmore Park ready to perform for the very first time. Nobody had heard us sing together before and our uniforms had only been seen by those closest to us!
