Wow we really packed in the activities in the Autumn/Winter term for Serenade. We started by welcoming our new Musical Director – Tom Stanyard. We then practiced hard for our second concert with the Loughborough Concert Band in October, which was a great success and got us off to a great start raising money for the two chosen charities for this year: Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance. A very busy term working up to a performance at the Shepshed Show. Ably led this spring and summer by Nicole Jordan, while we auditioned for a permanent Musical Director. We had a special session run by Steve Johnson on Natural Voice technique, which was really fascinating.
